This Silhouette Mask, made from vegetable-tanned leather, reveals emotion through bold, sculptural contours.

Inspired by the face masks Dirk created during the pandemic, Silhouette Mask MEDIUM continues his exploration of form and identity. With a background in shoemaking and bag design, Dirk translates his eye for craftsmanship into a powerful visual statement, where material and construction are as important as image.

The mask is built up through multiple layers of hand-applied brown paint, creating depth and tonal richness. It is then carefully finished with beeswax, resulting in a deep, antique-like surface that enhances the leather’s natural character and patina.

Defined by minimalist lines and refined simplicity, the mask invites open interpretation. Its abstract features do not dictate meaning, but instead offer space for the viewer to project their own emotions and stories — making each encounter personal and unique.

Silhouette Mask LARGE is made to order. Each piece is produced after an order is placed and requires time to shape, build and finish by hand. For this reason, delivery may take longer than standard production items.
