QUIET BREATH is a photographic work that captures a moment of suspension — the fragile space between tension and release. The image appears almost monochrome, softened by a warm undertone that suggests closeness, skin, and presence.

This work emerged from the need for pause. After pressure, adaptation and containment, QUIET BREATH reflects a brief moment of grounding — not as resolution, but as survival. It speaks of the small, often unnoticed acts of care we offer ourselves in times of uncertainty. Breathing as an instinct, a quiet anchor, a way to remain.

Within the image, the human figure is no longer actively reshaping or resisting, but holding space. The breath is subtle, nearly invisible, yet essential. It marks a shift from endurance to awareness.

The photograph is printed on a rigid panel and framed in naturally tanned leather, hand-painted using a self-developed colouring technique. The leather frame remains under tension, continuing the physical language of the body. Its slight irregularity allows the work to feel held rather than constrained — stretched, yet supported.

The work is designed to be wall-mounted and can be hung using the two fixing points on the back.
