MOTHERS'S LIGHT GREY

This candle holder is made to order and crafted individually for each purchase. Production begins only after an order is placed, which means delivery may take longer than standard shipping times. This allows the object to be made with full attention to material, process and form.

Crafted from naturally tanned leather, the candle holder is hand-modelled using techniques drawn from traditional shoemaking and leather bag craftsmanship. These methods allow the leather to be shaped, stretched and held under tension, resulting in a sculptural, organic form.

The grey colour emerges through a natural colouring process using metal-based reactions. Rather than being applied, the tone develops within the leather itself, creating subtle variations and depth. Selected areas are carefully polished with beeswax, adding a soft sheen and enhancing the material’s surface.

The form follows the language of Mother Nature. Inspired by mushrooms — their stems, caps and delicate lamellae — the candle holder translates organic structures into a tactile, functional object. Curves and layered lines echo natural growth and transformation.

Each piece is made by hand and will vary slightly, making every candle holder unique.
