MOTHER’S RHYTHM explores the cyclical pulse of nature through material, colour and process. Crafted from naturally tanned leather, the work is hand-dyed in deep brown tones and treated in a bath of coffee grounds, allowing organic reactions to shape the surface.
The exterior carries a rich, earthy depth, while the interior is intentionally kept lighter and coloured only with coffee grounds. This contrast creates a sense of inner space and layering, reinforcing the idea of rhythm — movement between density and openness, surface and core.
The work reflects nature’s pulse not as a fixed beat, but as a living rhythm: irregular, responsive and shaped by time. The leather records the process visibly, holding traces of absorption, variation and natural change.
