MOTHER'S GRACE

Made from naturally tanned leather, Mother’s Grace takes the form of two cupped hands — an offering, or a quiet request. The open gesture suggests care, generosity and interdependence, drawing directly from nature’s ability to give without excess.

The surface is shaped through a self-developed colouring technique using metal-based processes and coffee grounds. This creates a subtle, mottled pattern that feels organic rather than controlled, allowing the material to respond to time, reaction and touch. The inside is finished with multiple layers of beeswax, resulting in a soft, luminous sheen that enhances depth and warmth.

Seen from within, the form recalls an opening flower as much as folded hands. This ambiguity allows the work to move between body and landscape, gesture and growth.
